You know that we have a bit of an obsession with venues. So, when we say we are excited, you know it’s got to be a bit special. The evening will be hosted at the stunning “Studio Soleil”, beauty and style pop-up in the on the legendary Ledbury Road, in the heart of Notting Hill.
The pop-up, open between 6-8 June, is a collaboration between PERL Cosmetics, TOCO Swim and Smoothie London Jewellery. We have the pleasure of having a sit down with the founders on the Saturday evening for the third instalment of our hugely popular Behind the Brand Panel series.
We all love a founder story and that’s the beauty of this concept. Whatever business sector you work in, there is so much to be learned from those that have built brands from the ground up. Whether it’s work/life balance, building high performance teams, or overcoming challenges, there’s something here for everyone.
As well as a chance to network with other members of the community, enjoy the panel, meet the founders and browse the beautiful boutique brands, guests will also be able to enjoy drinks and nibbles and come away with a very special goody bag.

Isobel Perl founded PERL Cosmetics, a thriving online natural skincare & hair care brand she started as a "little lockdown project" during the pandemic. With a background in project management at KPMG, Isobel turned a difficult job loss during the pandemic into an opportunity to pursue her passion for skincare. Starting with just £1,000 and no prior business experience, she harnessed the power of social media to build a dedicated community of over 300,000 followers. Her transparent and authentic approach, sharing the highs and lows of entrepreneurship, has resonated deeply with her audience. Today, PERL is known for its innovative products and strong customer connection. Isobel continues to guide the brand’s growth while staying true to her openness and community engagement values.

We (Charlotte & Olivia) founded Toco Swim in 2017 - a luxury, London-based, sustainable swimwear brand with a mission to create swimwear designed to stand out in and make women feel confident, comfortable and sexy. We felt frustrated at the lack of options in the UK market at the time so we gave up our corporate jobs to create what was missing ourselves. A great deal of our inspiration is drawn from our Trinidadian heritage - this is where our Mum is from and we spent many holidays there growing up, surrounded by bold and beautiful colours and prints. Fast forward 8 years and many collections later, we have grown our loyal community of women to over 10,000 worldwide and have been featured in Vogue, The Independent, Grazia, The Telegraph and more.
Georgia Humbert is the founder of Smoothie London, the colourful ear stack brand she started at uni in 2020 that's now been worn by over 12,000 women. Known for mixing playful design with premium materials, Georgia has grown Smoothie into a go-to for curated, ear stacks loved by fashion-forward girls across the UK. She also runs PHUR, a fashion-forward matching dog-and-owner knitwear brand, which was shortlisted for the House of CB Female Founder Award.
